January 22nd update:
All in all not much news, stuff is still growing and the sweat pea still looks unhappy but alive! I’ll be moving home next week and all of these plants will be moved to a possibly more enjoyable spot so with a bit of luck everything will cheer up. Along with that I am planning to re-pot a lot of these to bigger pots and separate some of them so that should also help.
Anyhow the weather is not really changing (still bitter) however the place I am moving to does not have floor to ceiling windows, that should prove an advantage for keeping my home at a reasonable temperature without having to press boost on the central heating every 3 hours!
Anyway enough of me ranting here are a few pictures:

December 26th update:
So it seems a lot has happened in the last month, not for the best however.

All you can see in the above pictures is what is still alive. The sweet Pea looks like it’s about to die however it has been like that for about a week and no sign of it getting worse or better. The only Herb that has survived all of this is the parsley (Frise Vert Fonce Curley Parsley), for some reason the leaf selection corriander was doing very well and all of a sudden just died off, same for the lidl one so not quite sure what happened there. I am more or less certain that the failure of a big part of my project is down to the location of all the plants, they were all left on a window sill by a large glass balcony door, the temperature in-between the door and the curtains is always lower than the appartment so i guess it did not agree with my plants.
Anyhow I have been keeping my curtains open a little more recently and the remaining plants seem to be doing a little better.
More updates soon….
November 23rd update:
Well after nearly a month it’s time to move them to larger pots. The operation was not the most successfull but it worked out ok, i do think some might not survive though and it’s a little annoying.
Anyhowhere are some pictures for you all to enjoy!

As you can see i did not include the Sunflower, the Finissimo Basil, the Giganti Di Napoli Parsley or the Poppy Shirley Double Mixed. This is because the sunflower grew to about 3 cm’s in two weeks and stopped, the rest did not germinate or died shortly after.
More news to come soon…
November 16th update:
Well all the plants have progressed, they are not quite full size but i thought i would put some pictures up anyway.

In the third picture with the seed tray most of them are actually from the lidl batch i did, here are a few posts and pics about them:
Growing Indoors – Lidl Special – Part 3
Growing Indoors – Lidl Special – Part 2
Growing Indoors – Lidl Special – Part 1
All seems to be going well at the moment. More updates soon…
November 1st update:
So it’s been a couple of weeks and now loads of the seeds have germinated.

So as you can see from the above pictures the following plants have popped up:
Finissimo Basil
Sweet Genovese Basil
Frise Vert Fonce Curley Parsley
Giganti Di Napoli Parsley
Leaf Selection Corriander
Mongolian Giant Sunflowe
I have to say i did not expect the sunflower to make such a sudden appearance! Anyhow the corriander is doing great and needs to be thinned out but it think i’ll leave it a little for them to gather some strength before being moved!
More updates coming soon!
First Post:
Well I guess i am not putting pictures up of the whole process but if people are interested please let me know and i can do a post about the whole potting process.
Anyhow this is the first post covering some of my experiments in growing herbs and other varied things indoors. To start, here is a list of what i will be trying this time:
Poppy, Shirley Double Mixed
Sweet Pea, Jet Set Mixed
Finissimo Basil
Sweet Genovese Basil
Frise Vert Fonce Curley Parsley
Giganti Di Napoli Parsley
Leaf Selection Corriander
Mongolian Giant Sunflower (That is really just a test for the fun of it, got the seeds recently and did not get to plant one in season!)
All are first potted in small individual pots.

So as you can see from the picture I have put small paper notes next to all the pots to show what they are except for the flowers that were provided with cardboard signs, it’s not the most ideal of systems but it will do for the purpose of this excersise. They have been put in a larger container to avoid damage to my carpet, anything like the bottom of a pot, a lunch box or a plate can do for this purpose!
Will be updating soon on the progress.
