hi turvey allotment holders has anyone got letter re renewal of lease and identified the increase in charge.Is there anything we can do about same

Hi Deirdre, The jump in fee is so much more than I expected even with cut backs. I went and paid it cos I was so scared of loosing my plot after waiting so long for it. It was in the paper that they compared the cost to similar public and private allotments so look likes no turning back. We have walked in around the new ones and the irrigation will be much better but what looks better is that they have parking and roadways made of special surface so looks like we won’t be swimming across huge puddles anymore.
We just got our letter to say that we have, after 4 1/2 years, got a plot at Turvey (178). We are total novices, but have stacks of enthusiasm. Pop by and say hi.

What a noise up there on Sat did you ever see so many rotavators going at once. Hope you are getting settled in, fingers crossed the weather keeps like this for opening at weekend.
