Well done guys. We have just started the process of organizing a community allotment in Gorey and it’s great to see there are others hard at work.
As a resource for education these types of projects are a great idea.

I heard its 250 euro for a plot… That means 10 plots = 2,500 euro, 20 plots 5,000euro, 30 plots 7,500euro… i was made to believe that this was an none profit organization!!!

Hi Tom/Jane,
Is everything still on track with the proposed allotments at Park? Someone mentioned at the Transition Towns meeting that you hoped to be up and running by Spring 2010 but other than that I have not heard anything good, bad or indifferent in quite a while. I am presuming that your meetings are restricted to core committee as I have not received any notifications. However you might let me know what the current state of play is.

Hi Thomas,
thanks for repling so quickly we are trilled with our news we were having some trouble dealing with wexford co council we found they were looking for a diferent kind of project than what we intended so we decided we would go private and keep the same ethos of going voluntary and non profit we hope to take pictures and create a timeline of photos and post them on this blog thanks thomas

Best of luck with your project. We approached Kilkenny Co Co about community allotments last September and we are still waiting for a reply.
