Currently in Wexford there is no community based allotments therefor a group of like minded people have gotten together and formed what is now known as Wexford Community Based Allotment Scheme (wcas). The aim is to develop a allotment scheme in around Coolcots Co Wexford for the people of Belvedere grove Ashfield drive Ferndale park Meadowlands etc to use and also run courses in organic production. Allotments are very popular in all over United Kingdom and becoming more popular in Ireland at present we are still very much at the drawing board and trying to establish what the general publics interest is in such a project. the general layout will depend on interest and much work will needed at the start its possible in time we might have wind energy to power our canteen all going well of course
